STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT TWA AUDITION OPPORTUNITY!

Auditions for aspiring members of Tappers With Attitude Youth Ensemble, Silver Spring's award-winning company known for innovation, top-notch tap training, and professional-quality ensemble work, will be held on Wednesday, June 17, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Tap dancers ages 10-and-up, currently working at an advanced beginner/intermediate level, are eligible to audition. (For dancers who are 8 or 9 years old, read about our great new program for Training Workshop.)

Auditions will include technique work and observation by all three directors; participating dancers will be taught the audition combination as part of the audition process. Dancers may also present a one-minute solo, if they wish.

During the audition session, there is also a mandatory meeting for parents of audition candidates. At least one parent per dancer must join current TWA parents for an informational session for prospective parents, including a question-and-answer period.

SCHOLARSHIPS: We are excited to announce scholarship availability, thanks to Trawick Taps! This program, fully funded by the Jim and Carol Trawick Foundation, allows us to provide scholarship assistance to successful audition candidates demonstrating financial need. All auditioning dancers are eligible to apply for scholarships. Scholarship application is contained in the TWA audition packet.

Final deadline to submit scholarship application is Friday, June 25, 2009. However, we encourage you to bring completed scholarship materials to the audition.

Pre-registration is required; deadline for pre-registration is June 13, 2009. Audition fee is $25; if this represents a hardship, please discuss it with Ms. Lisa.
