Our Mission

The mission of Tappers With Attitude, Inc. is to provide tap dance education and performance opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities; to foster pride in cultural heritage among children, youth, and adults in the communities we serve; and to preserve and promote the uniquely American art of tap dance, with an emphasis on the jazz and rhythm tap tradition.

Our Objectives

• TWA Inc.'s objectives, which support this mission, are:
  
• To develop a new generation to carry on the art of tap dance;
  
• To serve as repertory companies for established and emerging tap choreographers and cultivate innovative choreography that redefines conventional tap dance;
  
• To bring tap dance to individuals and audiences in the Washington metropolitan area;
  
• To foster diversity – ethnic, economic and geographic – in its company members, students, faculty, choreographers and audiences.
